I have a question, How does one become a tournament director? and what needs to be done to host tournaments?  I cannot go to the meeting tonight or i would ask that question, So Karen if you can answer I would apreciate it?

Ray,

First and foremost, you need a field. If you have a field, then you can host tournaments. I assume you have a team? What age division? Please look at the article on the main page of the BABA website on www.bayareaball.org about running a division in exchange for hosting tournaments under BABA. You can also become a Nations Baseball host on your own, but again, you need a field (and you'd be on your own, infrastructure-wise).

Actually, I do not have a team, but my son plays, and i am afliated with the Umpire association used by Usssa and by Baba and now nations, but i am moving out of town next summer, to an area that does not have Nations or Usssa and have some fields that i can use. but i will read the link u gave me.
