Deadline Near for Turkey Shootout II

Has your team signed up for the Turkey Shootout II yet? If not, you better hurry! One division already has a waiting list. The deadline was Saturday, but we've extended it to Monday the 17th.

This is an Open tournament, and teams of all classifications are welcome to participate. The tournament is being held at Texas Ave Park in Webster for the 9Us, Bobby Beach for the 10s, 11s, and 12s, and the League City Sportsplex for the 13Us, all on November 21 – 23.

Our new credit card payment system is finally online, so payment is a snap—no more PayPal! We accept all major forms of credit cards on our new payments site.

December Tournament
If you're looking for something in December, then look for the BABA Winter Bash on December 12 – 14 for 11U and 12U teams. This is another Open tournament for all classes and will be held at Bobby Beach.

Get more information, register, and pay for any of these tournaments on the Tournament Schedule page of www.bayareaball.org.

Starting a Nations Baseball Team: Part II
BABA Team

This series details the steps required to start a new team with Nations Baseball. Part I covered registering your team. Part II covers determining the correct age for your team and touches on the class system.

If you'd like to read the whole article, see the Start a New Team page on www.bayareaball.org.

  1. Complete your registration as detailed in Part I.
Refer to Part I of this article if needed.

  2. Determine your team age.
You can determine the correct age for your team by using the BABA Age Calculator. Team age is determined by the age of the oldest player on April 30. Teams move up in age each August 1.

  3. Add players to your roster.
Follow the steps below to add players to your roster. You must have already added a team to follow these steps.

Note: It helps greatly to have copies of your player's birth certificates on hand to follow this process.

    1. Login to the Nations Baseball website.
    2. On the menu bar, click Teams > Player Admin.
    3. From the drop-down list, select the team to which you want to add players.

      Choose Your Team

    4. Click the Add a Player link on the left.
    5. Type the demographic information about the first player to add in the text boxes to the right. You must input the information exactly as it appears on the player's birth certificate. You can add a nickname in the Nickname text box if the player goes by another name on the field.
    6. A pane displays with player matches for the player you entered.
    7. Important! Check the box under confirm for each player match for the player that you are adding.
    8. Click add player.
    9. Repeat steps 4 - 7 for each player to add.
