| BABA September Slam II Deadline Extended | |
We hope that families of the <%=[NickName]%> have gotten their homes and lives back to some semblance of order after the hurricane! In light of Hurricane Ike and the fact that many people are just starting to get out again, BABA is extending the deadline to enter the September Slam II to Tuesday, September 23. We have several divisions to choose from: 9U, 11U, 12U, and 13U. Our fields are in good shape, and all teams are welcome in this Open tournament. We are offering a $50 discount to the 13U teams because their regular field is not available, and they will be playing on a softball field. However, we only have one 13U slot left, so if you want to play, you better sign up quick! Other upcoming Open tournaments include the Pumpkin Blaster II for 9U, 11U, 12U, and 13U on October 17 – 19 and the BABA Turkey Shootout II on November 21 – 23 for 9U, 10U, 12U, and 13U teams. In the Select class (AA), we have the BABA Bark at the Moon tournament on Halloween weekend, October 31 – November 2 in Lake Jackson for 8U, 9U, and 10U teams. | Jephrey Vincent Benefit Postponed | |
As many of you are aware, Bay Area Baseball Association expresses it sincere condolences to the family of Jeph and would like to spread the word about the following memorial fund set up in honor of Jephrey and in support of the family:
The social event and fundraiser and fundraising tournament at Morgan Park in Alvin have been postponed until sometime later in October due to damage from Hurricane Ike.

Remember the time when the <%=[NickName]%> had to make tournament payments through that antiquated sanctioning body? It was awful because if you ever needed a refund it could take up to six weeks—and it didn't even provide an email confirmation! And what about partial refunds? Not supported.
Well those days ended in 2006 when BABA moved to PayPal for online payment processing. But we've gone one step further now—no more PayPal. We have implemented an online shopping cart—an e-commerce site—for tournament and league payments, and we accept all major credit cards directly now.
You simply add the tournament or other item to your shopping cart and check out with our secure checkout. You can pay as a guest or create a login to use the next time you play with us. Payments are a snap, and so are refunds. No more waiting for refunds, no more going through the extra PayPal steps, and you always get a confirmation. If you create an account, you can login and see your purchase history with BABA—and you won't have to enter your demographic information again when you check out.
