The BABA Fall League, beginning in September, is also posted. This league will be played at Big League Dreams and other area fields. You can find information on the league on the Fall League Information page.

BABA is taking a survey on how teams feel about the number of adds given after qualifying. Is it enough? Would giving one more add allow your team to continue where they would not be otherwise be able to? Or do you feel granting all teams another add would be unfair?

Karen Farrell, president and webmaster of Bay Area Baseball Association (BABA), won a 2008 – 2009 International Online Communication Competition (IOCC) Award of Merit from the Society for Technical Communication (STC) for the Bay Area Baseball Association website.

The international competitions are extremely competitive, with generally less than 20 contestants in the IOCC winning awards out of 100s of entries. STC has not yet published the number of awards given in this year's IOCC.

Karen also won an Award of Excellence in the Society for Technical Communication Houston Chapter Online Communications Competition for the Bay Area Baseball Association website. It was the only honor bestowed to any entry in the Promotional category in the local Online Communications Competition.

STC grades heavily on the usability of entries and looks at works not only for their technical merit but also for how well they perform their intended purpose. These awards are proof that BABA is on the bleeding edge of both technology and customer service.

The new group Play Select Baseball on Facebook allows members to post photos, videos, and have discussions about the unique world of select baseball. This interactive, global group provides information on the major sanctions and allows members to post tournaments.

Nations Baseball began freezing teams on March 27. The system is working as planned, but there are a few issues with upcoming tournaments as teams that didn't think that they were frozen made roster moves.
